Tight/Bright and clean copy, red and gray cloth bindings, Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion are pictured on the front cover, the magic slippers are pictured on the rear, the gold titles are featured on the spine with a picture of The Wizard of OZ beneath, light end edgewear, very light and faint upper cover edge darkening, small and neat 1956 two line gift inscription to a child on the upper blank second front freepage, the colorful and bright clear Brodart covered dust jacket has closed edgetears, edgewear, edgenicks, light age edge darkening, is taped from the inside cover in several places, has a piece gone from the spinal heel, the lower rear cover, a large piece gone from the upper spine, and a large piece gone on the upper rear cover at the hinge. The interior text and illustrations are in Great Shape! The classic tale of the magical adventure to the magical land of OZ. First Edition. Little Golden Book # 144, tight/bright copy, minor rubs to corner ends, minor rubs to covers, minor small cover lining, light soiling, the tip end area of the upper front cover is rubbed away, faint spot staining to the first front freepage, light page edge age darkening, minor light smudges and interior soiling, the last two rear page b ottoms have a tiny nicked spot near the lower spinal heel with no names, or markings. With wonderful illustrations and a fun adventure story as Dorothy travels the road to Oz.
